Wickrama Wijenaike was a Sri Lankan physician. Having qualified in medicine he became a research assistant to Panagodage Bertram Fernando, the first professor of medicine at Ceylon Medical College and the faculty of medicine at the University of Colombo. He practiced at Nawaloka and Durdans hospitals in Colombo and also ran a private practice. In 1967 he became a founder member of the Ceylon College of Physicians. In the same year he published an article on diabetes mellitus in the Ceylon Medical Journal (Ceylon Med J, 1967, 12, 106-10).
