John Atfield, MD, was born at Hampton, and educated at Balliol college, Oxford; but graduated doctor of medicine at Caen 2nd July, 1657; and was incorporated on that degree at Oxford 4th March, 1661. He was admitted a Candidate of the College of Physicians 25th June, 1662; a Fellow, 29th March, 1675; and was Censor in 1683.
