Gifted to the museum by former RCP president Professor Dame Jane Dacre (b.1955), this ‘bedazzled’ stethoscope was displayed in Dacre’s office during her presidency (2014–18).
The stethoscope was a gift from Dacre’s daughter who worked on the production of the television show ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in 2008. The stethoscope was used as a prop on the show by actor Tom Chambers, who played a cardiothoracic registrar on the television programme ‘Holby City’.
