Christopher Atkinson, M.D., a native of London, and a [Munk strikes out ‘a’ and adds: a fellow of Merton college Oxford to which he was elected in 1565 but vacated it by marriage in 1574 proceeded] doctor of medicine of Oxford of 8th July, 1585, [He] was, after the usual examinations, admitted a Licentiate of the College of Physicians 22nd December, 1585.
