Join a free 30 minute guided tour of the building and collections on the first Wednesday of the month
First Wednesday tours include an introduction to the RCP's grade-I listed building by British architect Denys Lasdun; portraits and silver displayed throughout the building; medical rarities such as the Symons collection of self-care instruments; the Hoffbrand collection of apothecary jars; a set of 17th-century human remains and changing displays from our archive and rare books collections.
First Wednesday tours generally do not include the current temporary exhibitions, but visitors are welcome to stay and browse in their own time. The content of the tour may vary depending on the guide and other events in the building.
First Wednesday tours are drop-in and pre-booking is not required. However if you are bringing a group of 5 or more, please email us firstname.lastname@example.org.
For full information about the RCP accessibility, please see the main RCP website or email us to discuss your access needs.
Please note the RCP does not have a public café.
